preparation

来週になった筑波サーキットでの練習に備えて、Racing Jaguar E-typeを工場に搬入。各部締め付け、サスペンション調整を今日から始めました。

Porsche 907, Ferrari 250GTO,これらの車に負けないオーラをこのE-typeには感じます。何より、アクセルを踏んだ時の回転の上り方と下がり方は鳥肌を感じる速さです。

このエンジンも８気筒に劣らないレベルで希少なエンジンです。しばらく使用することは無いので、磨いてケースにしまい荻窪のオフィスに飾っておく予定に。

Ferrari 512 Boxer
久しぶりに千葉の倉庫から工場に出してきたNaitoAutoのFerrari512Boxer.
この車も１５年前にヨーロッパで購入してNaitoAutoが大事にしまっている内の１台。Cobra,DinoそしてこのBoxerにしてもレストアされずにメーカーが出したままの状態で新車の様な品質を保ったクラシック・カーは現在ヨーロッパで見つけるのは不可能に近いという事が、ここ１年北米、ヨーロッパを何度も見て回ってわかりました。

NOS 数十年倉庫に保管されていたColombo１６８（タイプ１６８のColomboは２５０LUSSO、２５０SWB
２５０GTO＆LMに使用されているタイプのエンジンです。GTOとLMはHEADのバルブ挟み角が違います。）のシリンダーライナー＆ピストン、ロッドを出してきました。これで２５０のボトムは直ぐに取り掛かれます。
